This weekend was a bust

Last week I was in Minneapolis for work.  I didn't get any exercise and I didn't eat as well as I should have.  In fact, we had drinks every night before dinner and Cowboy Jack's Saloon was the only restaurant near the hotel, so yeah...

Well, yesterday, I had a decent run.  I still didn't break any speed records, but I ran another 5k distance.  It was also the coldest it's been at 18 degrees, but with the right layers it wasn't so bad.  Then things went south.  I had to go into work, for what was only supposed to be a couple hours.  It ends up that I didn't walk out of the lab til 11pm.  By that point, the only place open for dinner was McDonald's.  I was madder than I've been in a long time due to the work thing (the fact that I had to go in plus some crap that happened while I was there), so I took it out on the double cheeseburger and fries.  I need to learn to separate food from emotions.

Today, I woke up still pretty frustrated about work, so I wanted go for a run.  I took care of some errands first, then got dressed to run.  It was very foggy and drizzly, but I've decided to not let weather affect the run.  However, my legs just weren't in it for this run.  I got about 1.2 miles out at a slow jog, and they just seized up.  I had to walk home.  That was kinda frustrating in itself because I was really wanting to run out my frustration from work.

I'm going to let tomorrow be a rest day, then try to get back at it on Tuesday.
